My first week of high school

High school has been going good for me. I’m meeting new people, getting to know my environment better, and feeling like this is where I belong. I have not had that much homework, just math everyday and English most of the time. All the teachers are really nice, but my favorite teacher right knows is Mrs. Faulk. She teaches my biology class.
Lunch time has been an interesting experience. You have to get down there as fast as you can to get seat if you want to sit with your friends. The lunch line is so long, so I just buy lunch once a week. The school store has just opened up this week and it’s always crowded so I haven’t really been in there to see it yet. All I really want in there is some candy.
The one thing that is hard to get use to is that I have to go to my locker before every class to get my book. What makes it hard is that when I’m coming from "D" hall and I have to go to my locker which is in "A" hall and than back to "E" hall. "A" hall is the worst hallway to go down when it’s passing time. I think I might just bring my books that I need for my class in "D" hall and "E" hall.
The best part of my schedule is my personal fitness class. It could not be any better for me than to have my last hour be gym. All my friends are jealous because I don’t have to worry about how my hair looks or that I’m sweaty after class, I can just go home. Their really is no point for me to fix my hair after gym if I’m just go straight home. It has been great for my first week of high school and I can’t wait for the rest of my year.

  1. You sure did get lucky with gym 6th hour. Cool piece of writing. I like the way that you described the way you don't have to fix your hair. It makes you seem laid back and cool. - DAn
